December in France & Belgium
With my brother’s 26th birthday around the corner and the realization that we hadn’t taken a brother trip in 5 years, a trip across the pond was the only appropriate conclusion. I promptly scoured my favorite airfare search engines, employed my favorite tactics, and found $520 roundtrip to Paris on United. What’s more, no city could be better suited for the endeavor, as Lucas studied abroad there 7 years back. We ate like kings, gallivanted around the city, and watch the greatest football player of all time (Messi) play in person.
While Lucas had to go back to the U.S. at the end of the weekend, my brother Gabe and I capitalized on our free schedules by extending our trip to visit to Bruges and Brussels, Belgium. Needless to say, the trip was a perfect way to begin the holidays and the consummate brotherly affair for which we were long overdue.
European summer
MONTANA
When one has a close friend spending the summer in the beautiful state of Montana, one makes arrangements to visit; that is exactly what myself, as well as three other close buddies did this past July. What follows is what I was able to capture during our short but eventful time in the Big Sky Country.
COLOMBIA
Following my graduation from the University of Michigan, I was intent on taking a trip to a place so foreign and counter-cultural to my then-home of Ann Arbor that I would experience a system-shock of sorts. Considering my interests, financial resources, and the limitations imposed by the Coronavirus, I was able to narrow my decision down to a slew of countries, yet one remained victorious amongst the others: Colombia.
